Local charity FareShare Merseyside is inviting businesses to invest in their employees’ wellbeing while tackling food waste, through its new Healthy Eating Workshop.

The hands-on sessions, priced at £50 per participant, are designed for groups of five to ten employees. Attendees will learn to cook nutritious meals using surplus food donated to FareShare, with the added bonus of taking home the dishes they prepare.

But the workshops are about more than cooking. Participants will engage in meaningful conversations about health, sustainability, and community impact—while directly supporting FareShare’s mission to redistribute quality surplus food to those who need it most across Merseyside.

“It’s a unique opportunity for companies to boost morale, strengthen team bonds, and show commitment to social responsibility,” said organisers. “Every workshop not only empowers employees with healthier habits but also contributes to the fight against food poverty and waste.”

The initiative aligns with corporate wellness and sustainability goals, offering businesses a way to make their Working Well grant go further by feeding both “minds, bodies, and communities.”
