Merseyside retrofit company Gaia Energy has appointed Daniel Fisher as Solar Manager as the company expands its commercial solar division to meet growing demand for on-site renewable energy generation. Bringing over 25 years of experience in solar technologies and project management to the team, Daniel joins from Conscious Energy.

In his new role, he will lead the delivery of solar PV projects across commercial, industrial and public sector buildings. Working closely with clients and installation teams, Daniel will oversee projects from design through to completion, ensuring systems are fitted safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to operations.

The appointment supports Gaia Energy’s continued growth as more businesses invest in on-site renewable energy generation to reduce costs and meet net zero targets.

Liam Gray, Managing Director at Gaia Energy, said: “With a payback of between three and five years, commercial solar is becoming an increasingly attractive option for many organisations. Daniel’s experience in managing the installation of solar technologies strengthens our ability to deliver solar PV and battery storage solutions across a range of settings, from warehouses and manufacturing plants to schools, hospitals and retail parks. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”

Daniel Fisher added: “Gaia Energy has built a strong reputation in retrofit delivery and I’m looking forward to helping expand the commercial solar division as demand for on-site renewable energy continues to grow.”

Since launching in 2020, Gaia Energy has achieved consistent year-on-year growth and is on track to exceed £5 million in turnover this year. The company is based in carbon-neutral headquarters at Knowsley Business Park.

Alongside its commercial solar work, Gaia Energy partners with housing providers, local authorities, private landlords and homeowners to deliver energy efficiency programmes under major government-backed schemes including SHDF Wave 3, ECO4, GBIS and Local Authority Warm Homes initiatives.
