Could you support the council’s Care Experienced People Christmas Appeal by purchasing a gift for a young person this year?

Care experienced people have been in the care of the council and often don’t have the same support network around them, making Christmas a challenging and sometimes lonely time of year.

The council’s Care Experienced team is ensuring that they can ensure a Christmas lunch and receive a gift, reminding them that they are valued, cared about and remembered. They have worked with young people to create an Amazon Wish List of gifts they would genuinely like to receive this Christmas, so if you could add an extra present on to your shopping list this year, it really would be appreciated. The closing date for donations is 15 December 2026.

Every contribution, regardless of value, will help bring some joy to a young person – thank you in advance if you can support the appeal.
