Knife Crime Matters is committed to making a lasting difference in communities affected by knife crime. This Knowsley project aims to ensure every school and young person can access practical education, awareness and resources that help prevent knife crime and its devastating consequences.

Across Knowsley, around 8,000 young people aged 11 to 18 could benefit from this programme. Schools will receive access to a comprehensive range of Knife Crime Matters resources, including a five-part Education Series, safety equipment such as Bleed Control Kits and Knife Detection Wands, a High Impact Awareness Video, and assembly talks from mothers who have lost a child to knife crime. They are currently working with approximately 80 schools nationwide, however, and hope to exceed 100 by October 2026. Their intention is to supply every secondary school and the college for free!

They believe prevention is about more than telling young people not to carry a knife. It is about helping them understand influence, exploitation, consequences and positive choices. That is what Knife Crime Matters is here to do
