Merseyside Housing Association Livv Housing Group has awarded £62,390 to 12 voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations through its ‘Livv in Your Community’ Grant Scheme; supporting projects that improve mental wellbeing, reduce social isolation and help people feel more connected to their communities.
The funding will support a wide range of community-led activities across areas where Livv customers live, with projects running from October 2026 to March 2027.
This year’s funded organisations will deliver a variety of activities, including creative arts sessions, support groups for people living with dementia, activities for parents and families, digital inclusion projects, physical activity programmes and community hubs offering advice and social connection.
Projects include Mums Connect, delivered by Towerhill Community Hub CIC for parents and young children in Kirkby, and Evolving Mindset CIC’s Time to Connect Thursdays sessions, which combine wellbeing activities, hot meals and access to local support services.
Funding has also been awarded to Activate Body & Mind CIC, Alara Community Arts CIC, Caring Connections, Diverse Active CIC, Explore Partnership CIC, Friends of Bowring Park, Primal Mentality CIC, Torrington Drive Community Association and Towerhill Youth FC, which will deliver a range of activities for Livv customers and local communities.
Melanie Melia, Project Manager at Towerhill Community Hub CIC, said:
“We’re very grateful for the funding, which will allow us to launch Mums Connect. The project will provide a safe and welcoming space for women to come together, share their experiences and connect with others. During the winter months, when isolation can be more challenging, it will give women the opportunity to get out of the house, bring their children along and feel part of a supportive community.”
Phil Noon, Managing Director at Evolving Mindset CIC, said:
“Time to Connect Thursdays will give local people the opportunity to meet new people, build connections and access support in a welcoming environment. Funding through Livv’s Community Grant Scheme will help us provide wellbeing activities, hot meals and refreshments while ensuring people can easily connect with the advice and services available in their local community.”
Lisa Olsen, Executive Director of Customer at Livv Housing Group, said:
“We’re delighted to support twelve organisations that are making a real difference in our communities through this year’s Livv in Your Community Grant Scheme. These projects reflect the passion, creativity and dedication of local groups and volunteers, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they’ll have for Livv customers and local communities over the coming months.”
The projects will begin in October 2026 and run until March 2027, helping local organisations continue their valuable work supporting Livv customers and local communities.
