The national ASB Awareness Week campaign highlights the impact of anti-social behaviour, with research commissioned by Resolve showing that 1 in 7* people have considered moving home because of it.

While ASB is often associated with noise or nuisance, many incidents come down to how people treat one another. Over the past year, Livv has supported customers in 88 cases of verbal abuse, harassment or threatening behaviour, as well as supporting people affected by hate-related incidents.

To help address this, Livv is launching its #LivvBetterTogether campaign to encourage small, everyday actions – from checking in on neighbours to showing respect and understanding – to help build safer, more inclusive communities. It also highlights where people can go for support and encourages early reporting of anti-social behaviour.

The campaign is brought to life through a creative film featuring a poem written for ASB Awareness Week and #LivvBetterTogether by Liverpool-based spoken word poet Joseph Roberts, who has built a strong following on social media for his honest take on social issues.

Livv is also part of the newly launched Merseyside Antisocial Behaviour Partnership, working alongside partners including Merseyside Police and local councils to help tackle ASB and better support communities.

Sarah Smith, Director of Communities at Livv Housing Group, said: “Anti-social behaviour can have a real impact on people’s sense of safety at home, particularly when it involves harassment or hate-related incidents.

“Through #LivvBetterTogether, we’re encouraging people to think about the role we all play in creating positive communities – whether that’s showing respect, checking in on neighbours or being open to people’s differences.

“We’re here to support our customers and take action where needed, but creating safer communities is something we all have a part to play in.”

Livv will be out in local communities throughout the week with partners such as Knowsley Council on Monday in Huyton and Thursday in Kirkby, raising awareness and speaking directly to customers, alongside wider ASB Awareness Week activity such as a community Poetry Expo.
