At Rigby Financial, going the extra mile is simply part of our culture. This March, however, one member of our team is quite literally going the extra lengths.
As part of our 2026 fundraising efforts for Alzheimer’s Society, Maureen, our Accounts and Claims Handler, has set herself a serious challenge. To swim 200 lengths – the swimming equivalent in terms of effort of a half marathon – across four early-morning sessions.
The dates are set for Tuesday 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th March, with Maureen diving in at 6.30am and swimming through to 7.30am each time. That’s:
- 200 lengths
- Completed within just four hours
- All before a full day at work
- All to raise vital funds and awareness
It’s an impressive commitment that reflects both personal determination and the collective spirit of our team – and we couldn’t be prouder.
We’d also like to say a big thank you to Volair (Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park), for all their support – a fantastic example of local business partnerships making community fundraising initiatives possible.
