Strawberry Field Celebrates Prestigious Awards and Continued Legacy of Inspiration

Strawberry Field, the iconic Liverpool site that inspired John Lennon’s timeless song “Strawberry Fields Forever,” has recently received significant recognition for its dedication to community, history, and inclusivity. The judges have praised Strawberry Field as “an inspiring attraction that seamlessly blends history, music, and community spirit, creating a space where everyone feels valued and leaves with a lasting impression.”

Adding to the excitement, Strawberry Field’s Imagine More café has been awarded the highly coveted ‘Café of the Year’ accolade. Known for its commitment to serving delicious dishes made from seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients, the café offers more than just great food; it also provides invaluable work experience opportunities for young people through the Steps to Work programme. This recognition in such a competitive category is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team and the importance of the café to the local community.

In a heartfelt statement, Strawberry Field expressed their gratitude: “We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made these incredible achievements possible. We are deeply grateful to our wonderful visitors who help make tourism thrive in the city, and to those who support us in our mission to help vulnerable young people.”

Strawberry Field has been in the care of The Salvation Army since the 1930s, serving as a place that supports vulnerable young people and offers a space of spirituality and inspiration. This legacy continues today, with The Salvation Army’s ongoing redevelopment of the site to provide young people with learning disabilities in Liverpool with the opportunity to succeed. The redevelopment honours the site’s rich history, while offering hope and a brighter future for those who need it most.

As Strawberry Field continues to grow and inspire, it remains a cherished landmark in Liverpool, fostering a sense of community and helping shape a more inclusive and compassionate city.
