Mind Over Matter Nutrition is a wellbeing consultancy specialising in menopause education and evidence-based nutrition support within the workplace.

Founded by Knowsley-born nutritionist and menopause health specialist Janine Lee, the consultancy supports organisations to better understand menopause and create working environments where women can remain healthy, confident, and productive throughout midlife.

At its foundation, Mind Over Matter Nutrition is grounded in the belief that behaviour change begins in the mind. This principle is particularly relevant during menopause, a life stage that often requires women to adapt to shifting energy levels, changing sleep patterns, and evolving physical and emotional needs.

Janine’s work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience. She entered menopause at the age of 36 following a diagnosis of Primary Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), an experience that brought into sharp focus the widespread lack of awareness and understanding surrounding menopause, particularly within workplace settings.

Like many women, Janine navigated menopausal symptoms while working in corporate leadership and programme management roles, highlighting the frequently unseen challenge of sustaining professional performance while managing the complex physical, cognitive, and psychological changes associated with menopause.

Following a return to education and updated qualifications in nutrition, menopause, and behaviour change, Janine launched Mind Over Matter Nutrition with a clear mission: to support women and employers in developing a more informed, practical, and compassionate understanding of menopause.

Today, the consultancy works with businesses to reframe menopause as a workplace wellbeing, inclusion, and retention issue. Through workplace menopause awareness sessions, evidence-based workshops, and manager training, organisations are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to support employee wellbeing, foster inclusive cultures, and retain experienced, highly skilled women within the workforce.

By supporting employers to better understand menopause and embed inclusive workplace practices, Mind Over Matter Nutrition enables women to thrive at work while helping businesses benefit from a healthier, more engaged, and sustainable workforce.
