Insurance building repair and restoration specialist The Forshaw Group is delighted to announce that it has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise.

The King’s Award for Enterprise is a globally recognised mark of excellence and the UK’s most prestigious business honour, celebrating the achievements of eligible companies across the UK.
The news was officially shared today (Wednesday 6 May 2026), and the company will be formally presented with the award at its head office in Knowsley by Mr. Peter Oliver OBE, Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, along with a Grant of Appointment (an official certificate) and a commemorative crystal trophy, in the coming weeks.

His Majesty The King has approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation that The Forshaw Group should receive a King’s Award for Enterprise in the ‘Promoting Opportunity’ category this year. The insurance building repair and restoration specialist, based in Knowsley, is one of only three companies in Merseyside to have achieved this particular recognition in 2026, a challenging category to be recognised in. As an award recipient, The Forshaw Group is now entitled to use the King’s Award Emblem on its communications material and fly The King’s Awards flag at the main office for five years from today’s announcement date.

The organisation now joins more than 8,000 enterprises that have received this Royal recognition since the scheme began in 1965 (originally as The Queen’s Award to Industry). This is a tremendous achievement for The Forshaw Group, which works with some of the leading insurance companies and loss adjusters to renovate commercial and residential properties damaged by fire or flood across the North West and North Wales.

The Forshaw Group’s managing director, Liam Hanlon, will also attend the Royal Reception, to be held at St James’s Palace, London on Wednesday 8 July 2026.

Speaking of the company’s accolade, managing director of The Forshaw Group, and a Deputy Lieutenant for Merseyside, Liam Hanlon, says: “We are beyond delighted to be presented with the King’s Award for Enterprise: Promoting Opportunity. This achievement is a culmination of many years of commitment to social mobility within our community, and it is not only a celebration of the work we do at The Forshaw Group, but it is also recognition of all the incredible organisations and companies we partner with. We have only been able to achieve what we have through the commitment, support, enthusiasm, effort and energy of all the people, initiatives and organisations, with whom we are proud to work closely.

“We greatly look forward to hosting a special celebration event later in the year, to recognise everyone’s contribution in helping The Forshaw Group to achieve this award.”
