Leading North West property services company The Momentum Group has raised around £5,000 for Liverpool charity Alfie’s Squad through its second Go Karting Grand Prix fundraising event, with plans already confirmed for an even bigger event in 2027 following this year’s success.
Held at TeamSport Liverpool on 12th June, the event brought together employees, clients and partners from across the region to support the charity, which provides vital support to children, young people and their families affected by suicide bereavement. Participants enjoyed exclusive access to the track, while event sponsors Arnwell Joinery Ltd, Barlows, Hallmark Compliance, Integrum, JC Fire Protection, Liverpool Demolition and MTEC Electrical helped make the day possible.
Following the success of this year’s event, The Momentum Group has already confirmed that the Go Karting Grand Prix will return on 12 March 2027 as part of its continued commitment to supporting local charities and communities.
The fundraiser forms part of Momentum Contribute, The Momentum Group’s ESG and social value programme, which focuses on supporting the communities where the business operates through volunteering, mentoring and fundraising initiatives. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated via The Momentum Foundation, The Momentum Group’s charitable foundation, established in 2020 and managed by the Community Foundation for Merseyside. The Foundation will award a grant to Alfie’s Squad to help the charity continue its life-changing work across Liverpool and the UK.
Alfie’s Squad was established in 2023 after founder Alfie experienced the devastating loss of his father to suicide in 2017, when he was just eight years old. What began as a single face-to-face support session for six children has grown into a thriving organisation supporting 88 children and their families over the past year. With around 900 children and young people affected by suicide bereavement each year, the need for specialist support continues to grow.
The charity provides safe and welcoming spaces where children and young people can build friendships, confidence and resilience alongside others who understand what they are going through. At the same time, parents and carers can access dedicated peer support sessions, ensuring the whole family receives the help they need.

This news follows the recent announcement by The Momentum Group that it has acquired Liverpool-based residential block management specialists, Central Property Management Liverpool (CPM), marking a significant milestone for the business as it broadens its skillset and client base to focus on further expansion.
