The team are taking on this challenge to raise funds for “The Hamlet Wigan”.

The Hamlet is a provision for young adults with additional needs aged between 19-25. This organisation supports young people to work, develop and progress within the local community providing them with a wealth of skills and new opportunities. At the Hamlet they have the opportunity to learn life skills, experience a working environment all with the support and guidance of experienced staff who can nurture their experience. This is a truly wonderful place where remarkable work is carried out by the staff to support these young people as valued members of the wider community.

The Hamlet is based at the three sisters’ nature reserve in Ashton-in Makerfield and its café and shop are well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We have worked with them closely for a number of years, and the SED team wanted to tackle the tough mudder challenge to help support this organisation further.
