What if your business could unlock tailored staff training, boost local visibility, and help build a more cohesive Knowsley — all while making a difference to real lives?

As a fellow Chamber member and the founder of MD Productions and See You See Me CIC, I’m inviting you to take part in something bold, necessary, and deeply rooted in community:

The Knowsley Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Charter

This is more than a partnership — it’s a shared commitment to social value, workforce growth, and positive local transformation.

Why Now — Why Knowsley?

Knowsley is full of potential — young talent, community strength, and creative energy. But many local people still face challenges accessing cultural opportunities, mental wellbeing support, and inclusive spaces.

At MD Productions and See You See Me, we believe creative expression is a catalyst for change — and businesses are key to that journey.

From our base in Huyton Village, we’ve delivered thousands of sessions that use performance, storytelling and wellbeing work to shift mindsets and build bridges across difference.

Now we’re inviting you — as a Knowsley business — to join us in this mission.

About the Knowsley EDI Charter

The EDI Charter is a partnership programme for local organisations who want to:

  • Deepen their commitment to inclusion and equity
  • Embed policies that advance wellbeing, representation, and staff belonging
  • Build real connections with the communities they serve

When you join the Charter, we don’t just deliver a one-off workshop and walk away.

We embed with you — learning your culture, identifying strengths and gaps, and working with your team to co-develop practical tools, plans and pathways for lasting change.

What Charter Partners Receive

Organisational Engagement & Policy Support
We work alongside your leadership or HR teams to:

  • Review and co-develop your Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy
  • Embed wellbeing, inclusion and equity into your policies and practices
  • Build a roadmap for sustainable impact and inclusive recruitment
  • Connect your organisation to youth and community voices across Knowsley

Expert-Led Training for Your Team
All partners gain access to free and discounted training sessions tailored to your workplace needs:

  • EDI training beyond buzzwords — grounded in real stories, data, and lived experience
  • Mental wellbeing and emotional intelligence in the workplace
  • Creative team-building through the arts
  • HR and safeguarding training for inclusive environments

Brand Visibility & Community Impact

  • You’ll be recognised across events, radio, and media (e.g. KCC Live 99.8FM, St Helens Pride, and more)
  • You’ll help us deliver free arts and wellbeing programmes in local schools and community spaces
  • You’ll become part of a borough-wide network of changemakers

Unlock Match-Funding Through Our Capacity Building Model

As part of our wider Culture Capacity Fund, we’re offering match-funded partnerships that double your impact:

Your Contribution You Receive (minus 20%)
£1,000 Up to £2,000 in services, training or creative delivery
£2,000 Up to £4,000 return
£5,000+ Fully bespoke partnership (including radio, events, policy & workforce engagement)

Deeper Engagement — Not Just a Transaction

This isn’t a box-ticking exercise.

When you take part, you’re not just sponsoring a project — you’re becoming part of something systemic and embedded.

We ask partners to:

  • Take part in an initial planning session so we understand your goals
  • Host a session, co-create a resource, or support community involvement
  • Commit to ongoing dialogue about how you’re advancing equity and wellbeing internally
  • Share impact stories, photos or testimonials to inspire others

The result?
You become a trusted voice in local change, an ally to the communities you serve — and a stronger, more inclusive employer.
