Following the fantastic success of the 2025 Christmas Wishlist campaign, Working Well has launched its Summer Community Wishlist 2026, bringing together requests from charities, community interest companies (CICs) and voluntary organisations across Knowsley and the Liverpool City Region.
Working Well is calling on local businesses, employers and community partners to lend their support and help organisations continue delivering vital services to residents, families and vulnerable groups.
The Working Well programme helps connect employers with opportunities to create positive social impact within their communities. Through its extensive network of businesses and partners, the programme supports initiatives that improve health, wellbeing, employability and community resilience across the borough and wider city region. Alongside this, Working Well’s dedicated Signpost Support offer helps employers identify local organisations, community projects and support services where their skills, resources and social value commitments can make the greatest difference.
This year’s Summer Community Wishlist features a diverse range of organisations seeking support, including charities working within cancer care, mental health, youth services, dementia support, bereavement services, disability inclusion, family support and community wellbeing. Requests range from volunteering opportunities and fundraising support to donations of equipment, building materials, sponsorship, professional expertise and office resources.
Among the organisations included are Lyndale Cancer Support, Woodlands Hospice, RASASC, Home-Start Knowsley, The Eco Therapy Garden, Best Lives, Little Lights Liverpool, Flourish & Succeed, Parkhaven Trust and many more. Each organisation has identified specific needs that will help them continue delivering life-changing support within local communities.
Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to get involved, whether through financial contributions, donating goods, employee volunteering, sharing specialist skills or forming longer-term partnerships. Every contribution, no matter how large or small, can help strengthen community services and support those who rely on them most.
