Working Well: Stop the Bleed, Save a Life
FREE training and awareness event
Would you know what to do if someone suffered a life threatening bleed?
A serious accident can happen anywhere, at any time, in the workplace, at home, on the road, or even in the local park. In those critical moments before emergency services arrive, knowing a few simple techniques could help save a life and give someone the confidence and knowledge to take action when every second counts.
Working Well has teamed up with with Mr Nikhil Misra, , Consultant General & Trauma Surgeon at Aintree University Hospital, and Knowsley Council on a campaign that aims to teach people simple steps that could save someone’s life.
Around 19,000 people die every year from an injury – that could be an accident at home or at work, a car crash, or a violent incident. The most common cause of preventable death is bleeding and yet there are simple steps that anyone could follow to help stop bleeding in the case of an emergency.
An event to equip employers and employees across Knowsley and the Liverpool City Region with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise and treat a life-threatening bleeding incident, whilst promoting wider workplace health, safety, wellbeing and community resilience.
