As a member, you have access to the FREE Chamber HR
service which helps you to keep pace with the ever-increasing
stream of employment legislation
You will also have unlimted
access to the Chamber's HR and H&S website - where you
can download over 240 policies, standard
letters and procedures.
All documentation
is compliant, putting your business in the best position
to defend any consequential action, for example:
- A contract of employment
- A compliant Employee Handbook
- A compliant Health & Safety Policy
- Disciplinary procedures
- Grievance procedures
- A description of the law and considerations relating to the
major pieces of legislation covering employment law and health
& safety

Working Well
The aim of the Working Well programme (Knowsley's Workplace
Health Programme) is to support businesses to encourage their staff
to make healthier choices in the workplace, and to ensure
appropriate policies are in place to provide a healthier working
environment. Working Well is based on targeted actions
around:-
- healthy eating
- physical activity
- alcohol reduction
- smoking cessation
- mental health and wellbeing
- health and safety
From 1 April 2013, grants of up to £500 are available to
businesses in the borough of Knowsley that employ 2-249
staff.

The Knowsley HR Forum
This was established by the business
community to support the business community. The
Forum hosts employment briefings and
workshops - delivered by some of the
UK's leading Employment Lawyers, HR Specialists and other
organisations, eg. ACAS.
Through the HR Forum you will
receive practical guidance and tips to take back
to your business. Remember through the Chamber's legal
expense insurance policy if one of your employees submit an
application to Employment Tribunal you have insurance in place to
cover the defence costs and tribunal awards (as long as advice is
taken).
